Best use of the airport
The airport works especially well for ski resorts, West Slope trips and travelers who can get a direct or convenient seasonal flight.
Airport to resort
Many resort stays can arrange pickup. Confirm whether the transfer is complimentary, shared, scheduled or private, and provide the correct flight number.
Airport to North Slope
Erdaobaihe is on the other side of the mountain region. If North Slope is your only goal, rail may be more efficient depending on your origin.
Winter flight planning
Snow and weather can affect both flights and road transfers. Avoid a non-refundable mountain booking immediately after the scheduled landing time.
Late arrivals
If landing late, confirm hotel reception hours and transfer availability in advance. Do not assume taxis will be plentiful for every arrival.
Departure day
Leave a generous road buffer in winter and during holiday traffic. Ask the hotel what pickup time they recommend for the current conditions.
