Erdaobaihe: the North Slope base
Erdaobaihe is the gateway town for the North Slope. The North Gate is on its edge and the high-speed rail station is in town. Choose between hot-spring resorts close to the gate and cheaper hotels in the town centre. Full guide: hotels near the North Slope.
West Slope resorts: closest to the West Gate and the slopes
The Pullman Changbaishan Resort is a few minutes from the West Slope transfer centre. The Changbaishan International Resort (formerly Wanda) in Songjianghe groups a large ski area with several hotels. Club Med Changbaishan is the all-inclusive family option. Full guide: hotels near the West Slope.
Songjianghe town: budget on the west side
Songjianghe has simpler hotels and guesthouses at lower prices. Pre-book a morning transfer to the West Gate on busy dates, and check each property's real map position.
Hotels near a station: there is no metro here
There is no metro or subway at Changbai Mountain. If you want a hotel "near the station", that means one of the railway stations:
- Changbaishan Station (high-speed rail) is in Erdaobaihe, the North Slope town. Town hotels are a short transfer away, and some North Gate resorts run station shuttles.
- Songjianghe Station (conventional rail) is on the west side and suits budget stays in Songjianghe town.

Splitting your stay
- 1–2 nights in Erdaobaihe, for the North Slope and a spare morning.
- A road transfer to the west side.
- 1–2 nights at a West Slope resort or in Songjianghe, then fly out from NBS.
Before you book
- Check the hotel's actual map location. "Changbaishan" in a name doesn't tell you the side.
- Ask about station or airport pickup, breakfast times and whether the hot springs are included.
- For families, look for family room types (亲子房 or 家庭房) and confirm extra beds.
- In winter, confirm ski storage and transfer vehicle size.
